Review: Oryspa Rice Powder Face Mask (Brightening)

I'm so excited to share my favorite all-natural face mask from Oryspa! I bought one when I was in SM North Edsa. I tried it at home and mom saw the difference it did so when we were in SM Sta Rosa, we bought more!

Oryspa is a local brand that makes and sells products that are rice bran-based. I first heard this brand from chicsassymom, I tried to search about it and eventually stumbled upon another blog that says something about how awesome Oryspa is so I decided to try it.

From their website: Oryspa (from the scientific name of rice, oryza sativa) means rice for the spa. Like food for the soul, Oryspa products will just do that.  It provides instant relaxation, rejuvenation or energy when you need it most. You can bring the spa experience into your homes.

Benefits of Rice Bran

It’s my pleasure to tell you that rice bran oil unlike other natural plant oils which you have to have an intake as supplement to have an effect, effective results are achieved when used topically.
1. Look and feel younger as rice bran used in Oryspa products are high omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin b which are natural anti oxidant
2. Get fairer whiter skin safely with Oryspa products with rice bran. Unlike virgin coconut oil, rice bran has a high smoke point which means it does not react easily to the heat of the sun where we experience abundantly in the tropics.
3. Get smoother softer hair and skin as Oryspa products are easily absorbed by the skin
4. Enjoy a clearer complexion as Oryspa brightens with rice bran being naturally antibacterial in nature.

One pack costs Php 65 or USD 1.59

Left: description, ingredients, directions. Right: scary-looking me when mask is applied haha

How I mix it:
You need:
tablespoon (doesn't matter if it's metal or plastic)
mixing container (small plate would do)
water or milk

I take a tablespoon (sometimes even less) of the powder inside and then mix it with a very, very small amount of water. I find that 1:1 doesn't work since the mixture would become too runny and wouldn't be fun to put as mask on. It turns into a mixture a little less thicker than condensed milk. I find that no matter how you make the mask, it still has the same effect so it doesn't matter if it's too runny since it hardens on the face. I leave it for 20mins or as soon as the clay hardens before I wash it off with water. I recommend lying down and listening to music while you're at it.

How I apply it:
Using my fingers, I take some and then massage it on my face, making sure that everything is covered so every part of my skin is even after I wash off. I also put some under my eyes, even my eyelids (but I don't close my eyes and then apply) but in the picture, I accidentally put some on my eyebrow - which is unnecessary.

Results:
Unfortunately I can't provide an "after" picture from the above pic. I only have a picture of me after my second try:
Notice that my face is brighter/a little whiter that my neck. I have a yellow undertone by the way.

My skin type is combination and is a bit sensitive so I'm always on the look out for natural products. The mask gives the same effect as Tony Moly's Tomatox except that this one is natural and lasts longer. It leaves a tiny white cast on the face that blends on your skin. My face powder makeup looks smoother after using the mask. It doesn't irritate and doesn't break me out.

I tried this once and then applied The Face Shop Natural Sun AQ Power Long Lasting Suncream SPF45 PA+++, my skin looked so smooth! I guess the suncream served as the foundation since it looks like bb cream. Will review it soon!

Will I repurchase? Definitely! But one pack goes a long way and I still have one and a half more haha!

EXO-K for The Face Shop!

I found a new Exo fan site (for me, that is) and it's not just a fan site...it's a style-dedicated exo fan site! Omg, why have i not seen this before? I was scrolling along the September stuff and found this! The Face Shop, EXO-K and mangoes!

"With the release of its new Mango Seed range this Autumn, The Face Shop has revealed fresh photoshoots of EXO-K for the advertising campaign of the beauty products.
The concept is fun and in theme with the mango colours: yellow and green. The boys can indeed pull off the casual preppy look in the most unusual colours and yet still look stylish!" - Source
This post is picture heavy but it won't slow down your internet, I think...because I grabbed these from Facebook and Facebook has lo-res photos /XD

I have a question...are there plenty of mangoes in Korea? It's a tropical fruit so...yeah. There are not much mangoes in the Phil at this season...I think. We have a mango tree in the backyard and it's not sprouting any :D

I promise you won't regret reading, so please click READ MORE to see more TFS x EXO-K goodness /please

Bubzbeauty's DIY Acne/Scar Reducing Mask & Toner

I came across an old bubzbeauty video a few days ago, I must say that I really love her DIYs! They are so fun to do and very helpful. I decided to give this one a try since I have all of the things she mentioned in the video.

How to Make the Mask

You will need:
1 tsp apple cider vinegar (preferably organic ACV)
2 tsp cooled down green tea
5 tsp sugar
1 tsp honey
2 tsp sugar

Mixing bowl
Spoon
Glass jar

As much as possible, do not use any metal since the ACV is too strong. /dignose

1. Mix them in order since Bubz mixed them in order.
2. From the mixing bowl, transfer them in a glass jar but make sure to leave about two tsp so you could use the mask right away. Put the glass jar in the fridge. Makes 3-4 applications and will last for two weeks.
3. Now, you could either use a cotton pad/cotton ball to smear the mixture on your face.
4. Massage you face with circular motions for 2-5mins. Be gentle.
5. Let it settle for 10mins and then rinse off.

How to Make the Toner
2 parts green tea
1 part apple cider vinegar
1 tsp of olive oil (for moisture benefits) - optional
1 tsp lemon juice/tea tree oil (to treat acne scars even more) - optional

Glass jar

Mix all together or shake the glass jar just like bubzbeauty did /nobigdeal

Winnings: #17 Falsies and Geo Angel Grey from Kiwiberry1-collection x starmishie

I'm the type of girl who don't wear much makeup, doesn't wear contacts and not a regular fan of false eyelashes but when I saw these stuff Kiwiberry1-collection sent me, I think I changed my mind. :D I received Geo Angel Grey in 14mm, I had the privilege to choose the lenses I wanted so I chose this! It also came with the typical contact lens case, instructions and a "Thank you for your purchase" slip from the online store.

The packaging was very nicely done. Yey bubble wrap everywhere!!! I want to pop you alllll /wahaha
(You can see that it's from Canada)

And the staff from Kiwiberry sent me a box of false eyelashes, although I'm not sure what type this is because there is no product specification in the box. My hunch is that it is #17 Black Eyelash Lash Pack since the #7 is too glamorous from what I received. Don't get me wrong, #17 is my type /hmm

Haha no makeup on! Except for the lashes. Here I am wearing the lashes they gave me. You can see that I am such a noob, the right lash is not very well put. But hey, I cut them to fit /sweat

Oh they also gave me a discount code. You can also receive a discount when you order since it's Halloween season! Check out their website, they have a (tadaaah!): /XD

A not-so-good photo of my glasses, beside the pink leopard headband from Nicole's giveaway that I won. And the accounting seatwork I was working on that time...seems like my eyeglasses were unhappy and shocked haha /blur

Check out this video from EXO!!! Chanyeol and Kris rapping on Two Moons! Wish they would do a studio version of this (longer please). And with the roll like a buffaloooo and the waddup kreeeeease! Watch it and please vote for EXO for Best New Male Artist & Artist of the Year!  /please

Awesome, right??!?!? Haha i'm not the type of person who listen to rap but this one's just got swaaag. I wish I live in Korea!!! /floor

Here is the Baby Care line. I have tried everything, actually!
Photo from the Human Nature website.

YEY, another organic product review! So here's what's new: I'm using a baby wash for my face because I think my skin got used to the tomato facial wash that it won't moisturize my skin well anymore. Not that I don't like the tomato facial wash. Click READ MORE below :)

Review: NYX Indian Pink lipstick

It's a pink frost lipstick with little gold flex. If it had been dark color, I think it'll count as perfect for night makeup because of the gold stuff the lipstick radiates.

Unica Hija Style Makeover

Hurray! After soo many days and failed attempts of going home (will blog about it), I'm finally posting about the style makeover plus shopping with Aisa Ipac courtesy of Unica Hija!! I almost wasn't able to go because of time and schedule conflict, but thank God I was able to go because it was so fun!

I've always loved Unica Hija. I even asked for the PFW tickets for last May, I got them but I failed to watch the Unica Hija show for some reason. But that's okay!! Last week, I got to wear a lot from the new collection and styled by celebrity stylist/my favorite awesome blogger, Aisa! *drumroll*

Review: Human Nature Facial Washes

As promised, I will do a Human Nature review series! First up are their facial washes! They have three different kinds: the balancing, hydrating and nourishing (which is new).

Balancing Facial Wash

This is actually the second facial wash I tried. The first one was the moringa one (hydrating) but for my love for this facial wash, I shall put it first!

Why I love Human Nature

I've always believed in the saying "tangkilikin ang sariling atin (love your own products)", no matter how cliche it is, you should believe in it. I agree with Human Nature on their pro-philippines, pro-poor, pro-environment motto. Being an eco-conscious made me see things another way and I'm very thankful for that!
